I have lived in Ranchero Village since I bought my house in October 2020. I live at 385 3rd Street and I am a full-time resident! I Co-Chair the Thursday Social, I play bocce and I’m an auxiliary member of the VFW. You will also see me at almost every Saturday morning coffee. I also walk the perimeter of the west side of the park mornings when I’m able to.

I worked in the fire protection industry for 38 years. I started working for my grandpa’s company sweeping the floors and emptying the trash and worked up to installing fire safety systems and equipment. As time passed, I worked my way into sales of inspections and service. I ended up working for a Fortune 500 company in sales with a fire sprinkler company.

In 1988, I joined the North Columbus Jaycees in Ohio. I have served as an Administrative Director, Membership Vice President, Chapter President and Chairman of the Board. I have received many awards, including Life Membership, Family of the Year and JCI Senator.

The chapter also has two senior citizens apartment complexes they own and they formed a Non-Profit Housing Corporation to oversee and run them, Jaycee Arms Apartments for Seniors and Jaycee Village Apartments for Seniors. I joined the Housing Corporation in 1989 and became the President of one of the properties and Vice President of the other. We bought a third Property, Jaycee Manor Apartments in Martin Ferry, Ohio and then two more in Hillsboro, Ohio. They also own Duplexes and Fourplexes in the Columbus and southern Ohio area and are growing.

We formed a Foundation to handle the properties and to also further help us develop properties. We were just awarded funding to build 120 new apartments for workforce housing in downtown Columbus. I was the vice president and treasurer of the foundation until 2023, when I moved to Florida full-time.

I also Volunteer outside the park with a charity that works with people with disabilities.

I was born in Columbus, Ohio and lived in Central Ohio all my life until I moved here; I have two sons and enjoy living here at Ranchero and all the friendships and activities it offers!
